found a vacuum hose near the oil filter, need help!!

when i was checking my oil filter lines for leaks, i noticed a vacuum hose dangling down. it wasnt cut straight, like the tip was angled off at maybe a 30 to 45 degree cut. what could it be from? or is it supposed to be just randomly dangling?

could be for the 4wd switch back at the transfer case. if you get time post some pictures that might help people figure out what it is

i have the pictures ready to go. everytime i try adding them as an attachment and uploading it, it says uploading please wait...then that box goes completely white and eventually exits...i dont get it

Does your 4wd work? if it does, its not anything to do with that.

im going to go check the 4wd right now. i just heard the horror stories of getting it stuck in 4wd lol, only one way to find out

the 4wd works perfectly, i forgot how much of a punch it packed lol. now saw it was the secondary air injection pump valve, what affects would i be expecting?
