Front Differential Cable Not Staying Attached at Differential End

First post...

I just got a '98 Blazer and the 4 wheel drive did not work. Thanks to these forums I traced the problem to the vacuum switch on the transfer case and I thought I was ready to go now that my actuator is working and the cable is being pulled. However, the front axle still didn't lock up. I found that the cable was not attached at the differential end, and therefore the fork was not being pulled. I pushed it back in but it will not stay in when the cable is pulled by the actuator.

Is the retaining clip available from the dealer? Should I buy a new cable and try that out?

Thanks for any suggestions.
