1998 Blazer. Winshield wipers stop in the middle of the windshield when you turn them off.
Also intermittent feature does not work and the rear wiper doesn't work at all.
Switch on the stalk? or???

Same happens with my 98 blazer. It is a recall with the saulder points on the wiper motors chip. You can either take it to your dealer ( which will take forever) or you can pull the black piece off of your wiper motor i believe it is two screws, take out the chip and re saulder all of the points.

Tried the resoldering of the circuit board and got the intermitent feature back but they still park in the middle of the windshield.

I had the same problem with my 2001. i ended up replacing the wiper motor 3 times. i was pretty pissed because i was unable to afford a new part and the parts store would not warranty the third failed part which were all rebuilds. i assume that whoever rebuilds them is not going through them thouroughly enough and basically just spray painting them and putting them back in the box and calling them rebuilt.
I have a friend who is a GM dealer tech and he told me to pull out the board and re-solder it which i ened up doing on the last one. however, occasionally the arms are getting stuck in the middle and im not about to guess and throw a wiper switch at it just yet. im no engineer but i think that because the motor assy. moves around so much, thats why the solder joints crack causing an intermittent connection.
