Fuel door removal
Hi
Sorry to bother on such a trivial thing. The spring/latch on my fuel door has broken and now as result will not stay shut. I found a replacement spring that I ordered from A1 auto which will be arriving by the end of the month, and watched the accompanying video but while I can get the T30 bolts out I cant seem to wrestle the door hinge out from around the filler neck. I was wondering if anyone has done this before or has any tricks they could share Input is always appreciated Thanks |
Hello,
Loosen the other filler neck bolts, BUT do not remove.... Remove the T30 bolts.... its a bit of wiggle and finesse... its easier to get in then to get out... I had the door open all the way and holding it open at top and bottom while I wiggled the hinge mechanism out. Like a roll and rotate removal. Hope this helps. |
Got it finally. Just took a little more finesse I guess
Thanks for the input Timmins_Jimmy |
