Fuel door removal

Hi

Sorry to bother on such a trivial thing. The spring/latch on my fuel door has broken and now as result will not stay shut. I found a replacement spring that I ordered from A1 auto which will be arriving by the end of the month, and watched the accompanying video but while I can get the T30 bolts out I cant seem to wrestle the door hinge out from around the filler neck.

I was wondering if anyone has done this before or has any tricks they could share

Input is always appreciated
Thanks

Hello,

Loosen the other filler neck bolts, BUT do not remove....
Remove the T30 bolts.... its a bit of wiggle and finesse...
its easier to get in then to get out...
I had the door open all the way and holding it open at top and bottom while I wiggled the hinge mechanism out.
Like a roll and rotate removal.
Hope this helps.

Got it finally. Just took a little more finesse I guess

Thanks for the input Timmins_Jimmy
