Fuel injectors
 
ok has anyone had to change the injector spider?.. if so how easy is it? I couldnt afford the ac delco so i purchased the delphi model and am plannin on doin it myself... hopefully this solves my extremely bad idle issues....

its the same part, even the delco says delphi on the side of the injectors lol. its not hard, be careful unplugging the power connector from the unit, there is 2 tabs to release. ummmm put new o rings on the steel fuel lines at the joint by the distributor. i take the fuse box off and unbolt the wiring harness that goes across the top of the intake gives you some room. route the new injector lines carfully there is instructions how the lay in there. and grease the heck out of the plenum where it meets the unit or it wont go on. its not too bad. get new gaskets too if your unit didnt come with a set there cheap

makes me wish i had purchased a new cap n rotor since ill have all that access.... switch out this aftermarket crap with the delco.. sounds easy dude :) thanks

Super easy. You remove the air intake, the coil (just for more room), the throttle cable brackets the upper manifold bolts and any wiring I'm not remembering. Remove the two 8mm nuts on the fuel lines and the 10mm bolt at the rear of the manifold which secures the bracket for the fuel lines. This gives you enough movement to remove the lines without disconnecting them at the rear of the manifold.
When pulling up insert a flatblade screwdriver in between the injuctor block and the manifold. The injector block will stay and the manifold will slide up and off of it. Then it's just unclip the 6 poppet valves and use a flatblade screwdriver to release the 4 clips on the injector block. I didn't replace my rubber seals, I reused them and haven't had a problem.

up 2 u what ever is easy for YOU. everyones different. i use a crowfoot on a 3/8 extension then i dont have to fight with them and there outa my way if i pull the intake

My .02 cents ,make sure you lube the plenum to make it go on more easier !! disconnect the fuel lines ( i would) !!! remove the fuel line bracket bolt and leave it out until you reinstall the lines then install it !! I think it is easier to fanagle the lines in that way!! Also the purge solenoid on the passenger side of the intake ( i believe it is a purge solenoid) has a connector that is basackward , in other words you have to push the pin in not out!!! Matter of fact i removed the two bolts holding it down first then it spins around to get at the white pin easier!! also remove as much of the harness out of your way !!!
