Have no idea if pumps original or not. 1st time its ever failed on me, now its working fine again. I've already got the new pump, so proceeding anyway this weekend. Planing to check all the elec. connections to eliminate that possibility.

- not always true. 'Tend to be' would be more accurate

The symptoms here are classic 'bad/worn' brushes. On older Fox Mustangs over 120k it was good to carry a 2x4 x 4' to give the tank a good whap till you got around to fixing it
