Fuel Pump question
Hello Blazer Forum Members,I some time back had problems also with my 99 Blazer LT 4.3 v-6,I replaced the fuel pump and for all practical purposes solved my problem. It started after a flat bed hauled it in.Now today it has hard to start tendencies.I have always thought it's usually not the last problem due to aftermarket or factory part defect which is possible. I have read on the form to check the pump before it goes to the pump filter or fuel rail.I believe to check it at the fuel rail would give the pressure that is what the fuel injecters are seeing when they are trying to start the engine. It has a total pressure of 60PSI Does anyone think that this short of the factory setting of 60-70 PSI to be enough to cause this hard to start.ie 2 to 4 turns before ignition and running cold temps. 20 degress ambient temp. in morning. After running and warm 1 to 2 turns of the starter. Thanks in advance for anyones help and input.Hotrod28

RE: Fuel Pump question
The factory specs are between 52-61 PSI so there's definitely enough pressure to start the vehicle. you can try doing the fuel system diagnostic in the DIY section of the forum. also what kind of fuel pump you had installed can be very important as well, from the advice of many on here the AC Delco one is the way to go, all of the others seem to be terrible.
