Fuel Pump and Sending Unit

Fuel Pump and Sending Unit
Hello everyone, new to the forum, tried searching for the solution and found nothing.
So I replaced my fuel pump on my 1997 Blazer 4x4. There is a ribbed plastic hose that goes from the pump to the underside of the sending unit. I had to cut it to get it off.
I couldn't find a replacement hose, so I used fuel line pressure hose and clamps and put that in the place of the ribbed plastic hose
My question is... Will the rubber deteriorate being emerged in gasoline? I have a test piece of hose in a jar full of gas outside to see. But just wondering what everyone else used for this piece of hose?
Thanks
-Jay

If it is a fuel grade hose, then no, you should have no problems.

i'm hoping that is the case, i just don't want to be driving up north and having it pop off or break inside while im driving.
