Well, ordered the vapor canister purge valve today. It'll be here tomorrow.
We'll see if this works... |
So you ordered the purge solenoid and not the vent solenoid?
|
right, the part that goes under the vehicle, not up by the engine ;)
|
That would be the vent solenoid.:icon_wink:

Ha! They call it the vapor canister purge valve when GM calls it the EVAP vent valve.
That is the correct part. |

Whew!
No kidding about getting confused. I was actually worried when I linked that part last night that I picked up the wrong one. So confusing, indeed! |
So...new update: I put the part on, and I went into town and filled up my gas tank. took less than 2 minutes to fill up! :)
That did it. That pesky vent solenoid. Thanks for all the advice from everyone in here. It only took me 2 years to get it figured out! ---- Im liking these forums. I've been doing a lot of browsing and whatnot, since I'm considering doing a minor lift to my blazer and putting some new tires on it. Thinking of going with some cooper discoverer S/T 31x10.50s. I've done a lot of looking into how much I have to raise the vehicle, however, I'm still not sure about how much trimming I'm going to need to do...and where. I'll keep looking on the forums for more tips and advice, though! |
