Good fuel pressure CFI not working
#31
is pulling the transfer case pretty involved? or is it just a matter of unbolting it from the back of the transmission and pulling it off? I've pulled the transfer case on my sons mitsu 3000 gt before...it was just time consuming. ANother thought: my blazer doesn't have an electric switch to put it in 4wd. it's a lever on the floor. does that mean i don't have vacuum actuators or a switch to worry about?

Removal will be similar to the Mitsu. Both drive shafts, shift linkage, speed sensor, mounting bolts etc.
The manual shift transfer case has a vacuum switch, and the vacuum actuator under the battery tray. You can see the vacuum switch behind the shift lever in this image:

well i will ponder this tonight. I have a pal who owns a transmission shop - said he'd do it for $200...so i might just let him do it! i've got to get back to working on my hobby cars! we'll see!

So the blazer is running and driving great- new fuel pump definately did the trick. I also got the transfer case input shaft seal replaced by a local transmission shop. I also had them change the fluid and filter on the trans AND change the vacuum switch- i brought one with me.. drove it home then decided to try the 4 wd...pulled the lever on the floor back to 4w high like i always do- doesn't work....put it in 4 w low and i could tell it was in a lower drive gear, but the front wheels were not engaged......so the shop says to bring it back- but i'll bet there are folks on here that know what these guys did wrong.....what do we think?
