Is it harmful to pull a blazer on a dolly?

I'm making a 5 1/2 hour 352 mile move from KY to Oh. I'm planning on pulling my Blazer but I've had people tell me it could ruin the rear end, etc. That don't make sense to me but now I'm curious. I hap planned on putting it in neutral and heading out. Surely neutral wont hurt anything. :icon_confused: Will it ?

Then why dont you put the rear on the dolly and lock the steering, its a know brainer!

The factory manual for my 95 that has the 3 button shows that it is not a problem for mine (front in dolly, absolutely positive the front diff disengaged).
Do you have 3 buttons or 4 buttons for your 4x4? I think it may be a different story for the 4 button.
When I tow on a dolly for a long distance I always disconnect the drive shaft from the rear diff and hang it with heavy bungee's. They push forward. It takes an all thumbs guy like me less then twenty min.

With this set-up the small amount of extra time will give you peace of mind for those hours.

I agree with the above, remove the rear drive shaft first. Thats a long drive and anything could happen.
