Default Headlight problems???

Hello fellow Blazer enthusiasts, I'm a newbe here and just wanted to ask a question about my headlights. The DRL's work and the brights work but when I switch on the headlights I get nothing? I pulled the fuse for the DRL's and checked it again and nothing, but brights work. Any suggestion's this is making me crazy! Oh, its a 1997 2dr 4.3 2wd blazer. Thanks for your help.

I'm in Round Lake Beach IL.... I went under the dash and looked for any cut or spliced wires. There was at one time an aftermarket alarm system on this blazer. I ripped out all of the alarms extra loose disconnected wires and made sure everything had a good connection. Still no headlights???? All of the other lights work fine as well as the brights and DRL's. Any thoughts.....

As you said you have a 97', however I just skimmed through so not sure if you have the composit or sealed beam setup. Eitherway, the reason your DRL's and Highs where working but not your lows is because on your truck your DRL's ARE your highs, they are just being back-fed half power to make them less bright.

Hope this gives you some insight incase of future issues.

i have a 98 so its a little different but pushing the dome override did not work with mine, all i did was push the e brake in just a little bit until the DRL turned off. my e brake doesnt work at all so idk if you will have a problem with the brakes or not. but thats a way to turn your DRL off. they are so stupid!!!

Cheesy, how many times did you press the override button? If you have your manual from the dealer, the instructions are in there if ya need them still..
