Headlights don't work - help!

The parking lights and fogs work but we cant get the headlights to come on at all.

All fuses, relays, bulbs, and even the headlight switch panel are all good.

I haven't hooked up an ohm meter to the wiring yet because its too cold.

What else could I check??

looks like its a ground problem because everything checks out ok and when i hooked up a wire from the ground on the headlight to the ground on the battery the light turned on.

Its probably the high beam toggle switch thats bad because my sister saw smoking coming from the dash the same day she noticed the headlights didnt work. Also I dont see the instrument cluster display the high beam light when I try to turn them on.

Were you able to figure it out? Mine is doing the exact same thing. I don't recall any smoke from the dash though.

i'd recheck the ground wires, undo them and really scratch the surface metal and rebolt on. I had a similar problem with my break lights and reverse lights malfunctioning

We are able to get the lights to turn on when we back probe the ground wire and touch it to the body of the vehicle. BUT this makes the lights stay on all the time, regardless of the position of the headlight switch.

Also, I noticed that when I hit the high beam switch on the steering column, it doesnt light up the character on the instrument panel. But maybe thats because they arent working. Or is the high beam switch broken? Makes sense if you think about the smoking my sister saw. But if the high beam swicth is broke would that make the low beams not turn on as well?

Keep in mind I hear the relays clicking, high or low beam.

and JayPerpich, the farthest I can trace the ground wire/harness somewhere behind the radiator. Not much room around there.

the next thing m going to check is the BCM, once i find it.

I found the BCM and the circuit board looks ok.

So I guess for now I have to re-wire the headlights on a different switch and fuse...

...Unless someone can tell me that getting the BCM R&R'd ($150) will fix the problem??

I'm sorry, but I can't get on the website right now for some reason. I do know that the ground for the headlamps (low and high beams) is supplied through the high/low beam dimmer switch, so that switch could be the problem. Since the high beam indicator is not working either, I'd say that's the most likely scenario. I'll try again to get a schematic to try to help you diagnose it properly later if you'd like, but i've got a poker game to go to now.
