Help with 97 light switch and defog switch
 

Can someone with a truck that has the headlight and defog switches like a 97 Jimmy go out and test something for me this evening....

I need to know if your marker/headlight switch illuminates when your lights are on at night...you know that light green glow like the window switches

I also need to know how your defog switch works...does it click to one side or the other or does it go back to center when you push it to on or off....

I'll check for sure tommorow, but I think the illuminate.

For mine it goes to the left, then back to center.

OK..so it is working...turn off, back to center, turn on back to center...

How about the headlight switch...does it light up at night?

it should light up. mine does but it is a pp and its a blazer. shouldn't be much off a difference though.

Also my switch does illuminate.

Well...I took things apart today and I can say that the parking and headlight switch DOES NOT light up. I took the switch out and took it apart and there are no bulbs in there. There isn't a bulb in the dimmer switch either. There ARE bulbs in the hatch switch, defog switch and wiper switch....those can be removed and replaced as well. Same for the driver window controls, they light upalong with the lock switch, lockout switch...I am fairly sure the mirror switch lights up, but I have it disconnected as it almost started a fire in my truck.
