Default Help with Engine Control Unit

I live in South America. Got a 98 blazer, 4wd, manual transmission. My Engine Control Unit was stolen and I bought a used one (from a 99 blazer with automatic transmission) to replace the original. Besides connecting the four connectors, there is anything else that needs to be done to make the car work? Because the mechanix canīt turn the engine on.

Any help is much apreciated

First you should make sure that the PCM is actually programmed for all of your features. If not, it could cause the PCM to lock up and refuse to do anything.

You would then have to go through the passlock relearn procedure (posted in the Tech Article (DIY) section last I remember) to teach the PCM your key signal.

And once you get it running, you really should perform a CASE learn procedure so that the PCM can learn the CKP to CMP sensor variance.
