I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer LS with a 4.3 liter V-6. While driving home I received a "Service Engine Soon light" so I went to Autozone and checked the fault code. The diagnostic code was P0304 "Cylinder 4 Misfire". The possible causes for the code according to the code reference guideare the ignition system, fuel injection system or the spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. I am experiencing no problems with vehicle, it doesn't idle rough, there is no loss of power, no hesitation, nothing that would lead me to believe anything is wrong. The code erased and has not returned. Can anyone give me some insight as to whether I need to worry or could this have just been a hick-up?Any help would greatly appreciated, Thanks.

 

I'd definitely wait for it to come back before doing something. Depending on the mileage and last tuneup, it wouldn't hurt to do a full tune up (plugs, wires, cap & rotor).

 

Thanks for the help, that is kind of what I was thinking but I by no means am savy when it comes to car engines. I know enough to be dangerous. Thanks for taking the time. Appreciate the help.
