The older CPI motor definitely has its share of common problems. Some are lucky, but a vast majority are not.
With the intake off, pressurize the system and see if you can locate the leak. If it's wet on the driver's side, it's mostlikely the 'nut kit'. If wet on the passenger side, then the FPR is suspect. The FPR can be replaced independant of the spider and the required parts can be purchased from Lindertech.com.
When you replaced the CPI spider last time, did you replace the 'nut kit' (the internal fuel lines)? If not, that could be the source of your leak. It is always recommended to replace the nylon internal fuel lines whenever they are disturbed.

Just to clear this up, a flashing CEL indicates a catalyst-damaging engine misfire, not multiple cylinder misfires. Although they usually go hand-in-hand.

As a 1995 Blazer owner. I just went through your exact problem. I found out after many dollars in repairs. The first mis-fires were from my coil. It had burnt up and was making the truck hard to start. It also casued the truck enging light to code to show mis-fire.
The reason I had fuel problem was the fuel pressure regulator. I am hoping to get my baby back from the shop monday. Yippie...lol..
Good luck with yours.

Yes, when I replaced my Spider I did replace the Fuel lines also. What is the FPR?
I will take it apart and pressurize, not sure how evident the leak might be. Fun Fun.

FPR== Fuel Pressure Regulator
It is mounted to the main CPI spider body. It is one of the most common problem areas of the CPI fuel system.
Before you pressurize the system, blow off and/or soak up any moisture on any of the surfaces in and around the spider.
