Default Hesitation when I accelerate

Hi
I have a 2001 chevy Blazer LS
I think I have two problems, for the past year when i go to start my blazer in the Morning it doest want to turn over right away
the second problem has just started this past week, when i mash the gas pedal I can feel it hesitating and wont go above 50mph
I had a full tune-up including changed gas filter 2 1/2 years ago
this past year i had the transmission serviced and was told it was in excellant shape , three months ago I had the fuel line flushed and the injectors cleaned ,
What else could it be? would my fuel pump be causing this ? please help

thanks

when the gas filter was changed 2 1/2 years ago was the hesitation there at that time?? The comp is`nt throwing any codes? What parts were used for tune-up? esp spark plugs!!! these blazers only seem to like brand name parts IE: (ac delco) and were they gapped correctly? A hesitation could be something so very simple. you could have an ever so slight vacuum leak..The more info you can give us here, the better we can try and break the problem down..

try cleaning the Mass Air Sensor with the CRC product; it seemed to improve my '99 Blazer a bit.

No the hesitation wasnt there when i had the tune up
but the hesitatation at start up has been going on for about 10 months
A buddy from the Motor Pool where I work took it for a spin today checked my gauges and says I must have gotten bad gas or there is water in the tank
I'm buying a new fuel filter tomorrow as well as some sea Foam and see if that does the trick...I will post the results
Thanks for you suggestions

That part sounds like either fuel starvation or a plugged catalytic converter.

Default 2001 Blazer hesitates on acceleration

I had the same problem. No codes. Ran rough during acceleration. Would not go when pedal was quickly depressed. Idled fine changed to new parts in this order: cap and rotor-no change. new AC delco Rapidfire #12 plugs-no change (# 3 cylinder is a real pain in the butt). Cleaned MAF sensor with CRC cleaner- no change. Changed fuel filter - hesitation and sluggishness went away. Going to get new wires this afternoon but it seems the clogged fuel filter was the cause based on this series of events.
