Hey 95+ Blazer Owners! Show me your Rear-end...Brake Lines ;)
So I have replaced EVERYTHING with the word "Brake" in its name on my 1995 Chevy Blazer 4x4 LT. Unfortunately...the first area I did was the rear brakes lines and did those with Copper-Nic and just bent them any which way they would work, and without gravel guard. Looks pretty, but it's junk (See picture below). By the time I got to the front...I learned a lot and bought a few hundred dollars of Eastwood tools and started making my own steel brake lines with gravel guard.
Now...long story short, when it came to bleeding all the brakes, including the 4WAL, I discovered the copper-nic lines are junk, including the double flares I made with cheap tools and locking out the rear brakes on the combo/proportioning valve because of air trapped in them at the passenger rear. And I am afraid of something hitting them one time, they will crush. So I am going to replace them with new steel lines wrapped in gravel guard. I just don't know what Factory looks like?? Look at my Diff cover and note the brake guide attached on the left and the top hanger... and if you have factory lines with these, or made or bought factory lines... could you please, please share a pic or more of what my lines should look like when done.
