I think the cat is still okay I have plenty of pressure at the tail pipe and when I hit the cat with a rubber pallet there’s nothing in there making noise.

I just did a fuel pressure test WITHOUT the truck running and it was only 15 lbs. That would explain having to put the pedal down to get it to start but what does that say for the poor mileage?

15psi isn't even enough to start it... Could you clarify when you saw the 15psi reading?

Was this after the pump shut off? If so, there definitely is a leak in the system.

My pressure gage read 15psi after turning the key to the run position. No matter how many times I ran the pump it read the same.
I should add not long ago I had to splice rubber gas hoses in all the fuel lines from the filter back to the tank do to them being rusted through. They ran the lines above the frame and in Minnesota weather they rust through over time. They were so bad just rubbing my hand over the lines to determine which was the feed line they started to leak.

Does anyone know where to get bulk OEM fuel line?

Maybe using rubber fuel line wasn’t the way to go or is it a satisfactory quick fix?

I assume you can replace the lines with OEM line with flare fittings?

Or should I be looking at something else i.e.… FPR, Fuel Pump ?

Please Advise!

Rubber would work provided you could get back to good hard line, get it to seal up and stay put.

As far as OE hardlines, the dealer is going to be $$$. There is an eBay seller, s10warehouse, that specializes in s-series parts. I see fuel lines from time to time in his auctions.

15 lbs, is that after it sat all night?

If you turn the key to the ON position and you hear the Pump run for a second to pressurize, what does it read and does it drop off kinda quick?

do yourself a favor and pull the intake manifold tuning valve ( the round black thing on top of the intake) and look in there with a flash light. if you see small puddles in there on either side, then you have a fuel leak inside the intake. it could either be the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel nut kit inside the intake...they are both know to leak often....this check would only take 5 minutes to do....

Per previous reply I took off the air diverter the other day and looked in.

Took the plenum off today and sure enough there was pooling gas on the passenger side. Replaced the FPR and all is good. :icon_beerchug:

you better change that oil too before you spin a bearing and have to replace the motor...who know how much gas is in the oil...it happened to my father in the past...
