i also found the dialogue about the ground wire on back of vehicle and mine was toast. Once I fixed it everything seemed to be good until that maiden voyage.

Intermittent electrical problems are fun for you and me!. Consider getting a meter directly or via a wire connected to the suspect point and back to a meter in the cab waiting to see what happens to voltage at the suspect point when you lose power.

2000 Blazer multiple fuel pumps,,,,,

Update: 9pm fuel pump arrives, truck is ready. Gas siphoned, tank out and old pump pulled. I did this on Thursday nite so goes quick now. There is definitely a smooth sequence to removing fuel tank and reinstall. Anyway by 11pm, it’s in and ready. I read a lot of posts and I thank you all! Team work makes the dream work. I replaced the plug, soldered it of course because I saw that it was strongly recommended. It’s all together and fired right up! I let it idle for about 10-15 min so far so good. Tomorrow I will test drive it. I’m a little!! nervous about the test run because it will be to get kids off to school, inconvienient time for issues. I would like to thank the moderators, experts and all of us learning as we go.these forums have proven invaluable again! I’m hopeful that my Blazer is fixed,
until the next time

On my 1999 Blazer ZR2 the nipple where you attach the fuel pressure gauge have outside treads just like a tire valve so is the adapter you put on this valve just like a tire valve adpter?

Thinking of the outside threads and that the adapter have to push down the small "pin" just like on a tire valve where you inflate air into the tire. This is a regular schrader valve or is it not?

It's not the same thread as a tire valve stem. The fitting for the fuel pressure service port comes already attached to the fuel pressure tester.
