How do i do a cylinder compression test without flooding it with gas?

i want to do a compression test on my 95 S10 vortec "W" engine but the fuel keeps primimg and pumping while cranking the motor over, how do i turn the feul pump off? is there a fuse to pull out?

on my 02 blazer, I have a fuse pump relay. Check in your battery junction box and see if you have that same relay. Worst case scenario is that you have to disconnect the connector from the fuel pump. Do you have the spider assembly injectors? You could also disconnect the big connector that powers up the injectors on top of your upper intake manifold.

pull the fuel pump relay

yup pull the fuss or relay for the fuel pump

i checked the fuse box and i dont have a fuse for the fuel pump...unless its mixed with something else and named something else in the fuse box? where is the fuel pump relay located? and disconnecting the relay will cut power to the feul pump? its a 95 vortec...

the relay is under your hood in the battery junction box with the rest of your fuses. If there is no power going to the relay, because it was pulled, the pump will not get voltage, therefore not energizing, which will cut power to it and not flow fuel into your cylinders.

i checked near the battery but could not find any fuses or relays there. just the engine PCM was there on the coolant resiovor. however i did find a bunch of relays back at the firewall, could one of those be the fuel pump relay?

95 S10 vortec

those are for your AC i believe. You don't have a box on the other side of the engine compartment, not on the side near the battery. It's next to the air cleaner. It should come off by twisting off a plastic screw on top of that lid.

ok i checked under my hood, and there is 4 relays mounted at the firewall to the right of the A/C evaportor box. then there is nothing near the air cleaner box excpet for the ABS box. and if i keep moving back towards the firewall i find this small plastic like cover aout 3 inches wide with 2 screws on the side with wires going underneath it and i have no idea what it is. and then against the firewall on the drivers side there a plastic wire gutter with 1 clip on top...i still cant find the fuel pump relay or which one it is...can you help me find it?
