How do I remove the front driveshaft?

It's the same to get it back in just use a hamer & a 2x4 or to protect the front yoke.
make sure the splines are lined up give it a tap and it will pop right back in.

Hey guys this seems to be the most relevant thread so I'll ask my question here. Should the front driveshaft have any play in it? If I grab the front driveshaft (between transfer case and front differential) it moves around a little bit. At this point, I've spent the better part of my life chasing vibrations around my Blazer and now I'm looking at this loose shaft. The rear driveshaft is tight which is what makes me wonder.

Ideally, it should not have any play in it. With enough force, the design of some of them will allow for some play though. It depends on what you are driving & the transfer case that is in your truck.
