The air bag light went off the day after I clean up the contacts on the sensor. Whetheror not it's related - it may be related to how many times the system starts up and detects no faults found before it clears. In this caseit appears there was no reason to get the DERM module cleared as advertised all over the internet. (It could be unique to my problem) I couldn't really get any answers from the master scanner pros at GM so we'll just have to monitor it and see if it creeps up again. Its been 2 weeks and no more air bag light. I will repost if it comes on again.

 

blueline -- I also wanted the same info (what are components for the airbag system and where are they located on my 1996 s10 4wd )for the same reasons.And did you have to have code reset after repair?
