How to replace weather stripping? (2002, 4wd, 2-door)
When I bought my Blazer used from another guy, it had a weather stripping issue with wind noise, so I bought 1/2 inch standard weather stripping from Home Depot to stick around the door. That worked out for a while, but now rain water is leaking in, so I bought new weather stripping from LMC Truck to install and do the job right. I'm a little stuck on how to remove the plastic paneling around the inside. From the how-to videos I was able to find there should be screws holding the floor paneling in place, but my vehicle doesn't have them. Should I just pry with a screw driver and hope for the best?
EDIT: Being careful, I was able to pry with the screw driver enough to discover the paneling is held down by metal clips, so I was able to get it off that way can get the weather stripping installed. The other pieces of weather stripping, that I wasn't able to get from LMC Truck, on my vehicle that's old and tearing way I still have questions about. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...fa80103378.jpg Also other bits about my weather stripping that should be looked at: There is a piece on the driver side along the middle window that's been tearing for a while now. I didn't see a replacement part for this on LMC Truck, so how would I go about fixing/replacing this? https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...1ebc5e3ed4.jpg There is also a piece on the driver side on the windshield near the top that doesn't seem to have a tight seal anymore. How would I patch this, or should I? https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...5ef8b73c5f.jpg And finally, there's another plastic strip on the driver door that runs along the top to the hinges that has been broken since I bought the vehicle. I didn't see a replacement part for this on LMC Truck either, so how would I replace it? https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...dc4f074a46.jpg |
Hi. I am suffering the problem shown in your 2nd photo on my 1995 2.2L, 2-door. Looking around, I found this page. Seems like what I need is marked #4. Anyone have any info on how to remove/install? Thanks and happy new year!

In looking I found this and it looks like the weather stripping is part of the glass assembly (now discontinued of course).
