I need a louder exhaust setup!!!!

I threw a flowmaster 40 series on my blazer and I need more beef in the tone! Should i gut the cat or add another flowmaster 40 or a high flow cat??? right now im thinkin of cutting the cat out and clamping in a replacement pipe, What do you guys think?????

it won't pass inspection. It may be a little louder but the flowmaster will only give out so much sound. if you want it louder cut off your tailpipe and dump it right after the muffler. that will make a significant difference.

We don't discuss that since it is a violation Federal emission laws.

If you want a louder exhaust system while keeping it completely legal I would just replace the whole exhaust system from headers all the way back.

Also, if you live in a state that does inspections or you get pulled over you might get in trouble because as rriddle3 said gutting the cat is a violation of federal emission laws.

dumping the exhaust won't pass inspection either. the exhaust has to exit the passenger compartment. I ran straight pipes for a while. It gets annoying. I'd keep the flowmaster I thought it sounded good before I butchered my exhaust. Now I have the stock muffler and it doesn't make any noise. you could always get a glass pack that would be louder than the flowmaster

By far the best sound is a glasspack, even with the factory cat.

High flow CAT and FLOWMASTER
and A K&N Cold Air Intake:icon_playing:
and if you want noise
add a staneless steel flex fan :icon_bike:
then you will be putting in a 10,000 watt sound system :icon_speaker1::icon_speaker1::icon_speaker1::icon _speaker1::icon_speaker1:to drownd out the noise:icon_speaker1::icon_speaker1::icon_speaker1: :icon_speaker1:
