IAT sensor temps are way too high

2000 blazer 4x4 4.3L 2 door

I just had to replace the icm because it was shutting down and I was noticing with my scanner that before and after I replaced the icm that the intake air temperature was showing like 167 degrees. It would cool down to about 125 degrees while driving but every time while sitting at a stop light for about a couple of minutes the temperature would steadily climb up to around 165-167 degrees. I've never seen it go this high, and since the iat sensor is only like $15 I replaced it hoping I would be so lucky but nope.....It still went up to 165 or so degrees, I've always notice with this truck that the iat temps always seemed to be like 20 or so degrees higher than the temperature outside, but now its like 70 degrees difference, thanks.
