Knock sensor location....please help.
So I was replacing the cap and rotor today and noticed a sensor laying on the intake next to the distributor. I looked around online and found it was a knock sensor...which explains why the truck has been sending knock sensor codes. Anyway from the threads I searched some say it is in the block and others say it is in the head. I can't find where it goes. I have already removed my distributor but no luck on finding a threaded hole for it. A specific location would help me out.....back of the head closest to the fire wall or below the exhaust manifold?
It's a 99' |

I figured it out and im screwed.....The sensor I found had 1 wire connected to it and it looks like pic 1.
The sensor I found on the back of the block has a 2 wire plug and looks like pic 2. It seems someone put a 2001 or newer motor in my blazer.......any suggestions? |
