Late Night Spark Gap?
All right people. 95 4.3 4x4 CPI Full OBDII. Tag says OBDI .045. Bosch Platinum (I Know) set at .045. Should they be set at .060. Long crank. Could the gap effect crank. Thanks all, God Bless and Goodnight!

0.60 is big for these motors
I know the vin w motors take 0.35 |
So what the f did GM do just split the diff and put a sticker on. What do you have your dads S10 at? Sorry don't mean to pry.
Spent. |
MY dads s10 pickup is either at 0.45 or 0.35 I dont remember exactly... I can check rock auto and see what they sell there plug gaps at for VIN X
Edit: rock auto sells plugs gapped at 0.60.... I never heard of it being so large... I will look into this more. Edit2: Vin w takes 0.45 and Vin X takes 0.60 |
So wait... Rock auto only sells plugs gaped at .060 for vin W. Did you accidentally reverse the X and W Gio?? Or should i be out there regaping the plugs i got from them last year lol.
Edit: I just did some research and the proper plug gap should be in the emissions sticker on the core support. For Vin W it is .060 |
From my Research W takes 0.45 and X takes 0.60
|
CMFI gap is .045 CSFI gap is .060
Something to check for your long crank is: With the fuel pressure tester connected, jump the pump prime connector several times and watch for the pressure tester needle to jump up immediately when you jump it. I've seen a few where the needle doesn't jump right away when the pump is activated, turned out to be a dead spot in the pump motor armature. |
Yea thanks guys it looks like they put the completly wrong sticker on mine. Just going to back them out to .060 see what happens.
Hook, gage snaps right to 61 and stays at least an hour till I start it. |
Its gaps @60
Because the proper plug has a very narrow electrode and burns hotter than plugs used in the w engines.
