Default Leaking intake cause no heat?

Hi I am new to this forum but have been reading for awhile now but my question is I have the famous leaky intake and was wondering if this was the reason I am getting no heat, I have the blazer in the shop right now getting the leak fixed but was just wondering if thats why I have no heat. Any input would be great

It would if the coolant got low enough but while it was in the shop I would make sure the heater core is flushed. Also have them make sure the 'nipple' that one of the heater core hoses connects to(on the intake) is free and clear-no restrictions in it. Jerry
