Leaky oil filter/cooling lines

So I'm pretty new to this forum and so far I'm glad I joined. I'm sure there is a lot on this topic so maybe you guys can help me out.
The oil lines that go to the remote oil filter and then to the radiator are leaking.....pretty bad. I have already had them replaced once a few years back and what do ya know they are leaking again. I'm pretty sure the mechanic used factory replacements. I need to replace these lines but I don't want to use the factory replacements again from GM if they are just going to leak again in 2 years. Is there another company that makes a better set of lines? Perhaps steel braided or something that doesn't have those STUPID CRIMPS! The entire bottom side of the engine and all surrounding parts have a good layer of oil caked to them. '98 2 door zr2 4.3L 120K. Thanks a lot guys.

Search and you shall find! LOL There are quite a few threads on this including some fixes that reuse the hard lines while replacing them with either SS braided lines and AN fittings or with hydraulic hoses and fittings.
