Low Beam replacements?

The stock bulbs on my 01 are not up to par, and I do not want to replace the entire assembly. I am looking at the Silverstar Ultra vs. the Hella zenon blue bulbs. Which will give me better visability? TIA.

I havent tried the hella bulbs yet but i have the silverstars and the are amazingly better than stock. Things are much easier to see on darker roads and they wont blind people when ya drive down the road which is a plus. Just a word of the wise though, before you change the bulbs park your truck in your driveway and point it towards you garage door. Turn on the lights and mark where the bulbs shine with tape. This way you can use that as a guide to re-aim the lamps when you change the bulbs, just dont move the truck ;).

I also have the Silverstars and think it is a wise investment. I hardly ever even use my high beams because the Silverstars are more than sufficient, and I live on dark country roads.

One thing I will say is that the headlight is difficult to get back in. You'll notice that the clip on the back of the headlight is under a lot of pressure when you go to take it off, and if it's not right going back on, you'll have a fun time aligning your headlights again.

RCars2:

Good idea with the tape on the garage door. I'll try that next time.

MTEC 4x's. Get the 9005's and trim them to fit in the low beam spot... you won't be disappointed.
