Mass Air Flow Sensor

Is there a process to get the ECM to "re-learn" when a new MAF is installed? I was showing two codes: PO175 (System Too Rich) and PO101 (Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Range/Performance problem), so I replaced the MAF. That didn't help the engine performance problem I was having. Do I have to re-boot the central computer to recognize the new MAF?

You shouldn't have to do anything. If the problem was corrected by replacing the MAF, then it should show pretty quickly. If you really wanted to reset everything, a 10 minute battery disconnect will clear the codes & any learned settings in the PCM.

If that still doesn't do it, then you'll have to step back through the diagnostic procedure parts that were skipped over by jumping right to the replacement.

Quik ? , have you tried disconnecting the negative battery terminal? if not , try that. disconnect it for like 10 minutes. connect it back up start the truck and see if theres no more ses/cel lights on. take the truck for a normal drive and see if the light if theres one on goes out, I believe it takes like 48 to 72 hours to clear the code.. try this and get back to us..Good luck
