Max voltage from wheel speed sensor (ABS low speed problem)
Hi,
Started to have the low speed problem with the ABS system on my 1999 Blazer 4wd.
Tonight I removed the sensors and cleaned the surfaces. Before I did this I had 0-0,2 volts. Now when Ive removed the surface corrosion I get 1,4 volt on passenger side and 0,8 volt on drivers side at one rev per sec.
Reading on the net I only find references to that the voltage should not go below 0,35 volts at one rev. per sec. So my question Is the high volt I got on the passengers side a problem? Is there a recommended max volt output?

DVOM must be set on AC volts scale. Rotating the wheel by hand should give a reading of approximately 350mv, (the faster you go, the higher the voltage reading). If it's less, the sensor air gap is too large, or the sensor is faulty.
The air gap between the sensor tip and the tone ring is adjusted using shims during the manufacturing process of the hub. Not recommended to replace just the sensor.
