Default need some blazer info

today my uncle put a deposit on a 2001 2 door blazer, 4x4, for me. i'll be pickin it up tomorrow i have some questions about the truck since i'm used to my cherokee and this is the only non-chrysler vehicle i've owned.

what 4wd systems were available in these blazers? i think read about a 4wd auto system compared to a normal part time system, what's the difference?
how capable are the non ZR2 blazers offroad?
did they put the g80 lockers in non ZR2 4x4 models?
my blazer has the ZR2 rims, but from what i can tell it's a not a ZR2 because of it's ride height and fender flares. did they put those rims on non ZR2 models too or is it possible they were just put on by the dealer?
what's the largest tire i can fit stock without trimming? (slight rubbing won't really bother me)
if anybody has gone soa with their blazer, how difficult was it? and how long did it take?
just curious, how powerful is the 4.3 in these trucks?

thanks!

How capable are they???? It's a well kept secret that the Jeep people just wouldn't understand... Trust me, you'll never want another Jeep!

Check the RPO codes in the glove box, (3 character codes that tell all options on the vehicle). If you find ZR2, it's a ZR2 There are several web sites that list all of the RPO codes. You'll be able to tell exactly what axle, and axle ratio, you have in your Blazer. Google is your friend. Run a search for GM RPO codes.

yes they used the locker in non zr2's, you will have an rpo code 'g80' in your glove box if installed from factory.

31x10.5's with tb crank/shackles.
