New engine, leaking coolant from spot with no coolant

Hey guys. 1998 Blazer 4 door 4x4. Just put a new engine in it from jasper. it's leaking coolant somewhere around the driver side exhaust. drips down onto the front axle differential and then the floor. don't think it's coming out of the temperature sensor, it's dry all around there. not a hemorrhaging leak, more of a fast drip.

Anybody know where it can be coming from? is there a loose tube in there I can't see? or does anybody have any general tip/tricks/magic formulas for fixing (or finding!) coolant leaks?

Thanks!

If it is leaking around the exhaust manifold you may have a cracked head!

Hope that's not it, don't know how I could have cracked the head without ever getting it out of the garage!
Any input on how to check that out?

It could also be a leaking lower intake manifold gasket. Probably incorrectly sealed at the factory when the engine was rebuilt.

Maybe leaking from a freeze plug on that side of the block? As for finding the leak they make a dye that goes into the system and using a blacklight the dye glows so you can see where its leaking from.

That's genius! I'll look into it.
Keep the ideas flowing if there's more out there.

Also look at the exposed headstuds while the engine is running. They might be seeping, since this is a rebuilt engine. If so,

that means you'll have to pull the valve covers and check for pooling coolant.
