new guy needs help
 

I have a 96 four door with a 4.3. Its getting harder and harder to start. I can turn it over until the battery runs down. Eventually it will start but sputters very badly. After you get it stated for the first time, it will fire up the rest of the day. After it sits overnight, it will not start in the morning. I can smell gas after a few cranks. I checked the gas flow via the prime port and its getting fuel. I also cleaned the EGR and put a new gasket on it. I put on a new fuel filter in November. If anyone has any suggestions,I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks!!

Start with a Fuel System Test and go from there.
