Hello everyone i'm new to this forum, I have a 2002 Xtreme and I thought I would just introduce myself. I am currently tinkering with my automobile and have been having some problems with my truck. what is suggested that I need to add to my list of things to check (maintenance wise) on a 100,000 mile vehicle. Also, which Cold air intake would be suggested and why? thanks for all the help

My truck has been sitting for around four months, I had to replace the alternator, the battery cables (which I still have not finished), both positive and negative, changed the battery. My truck isn't blowing hot air and slightly overheated so I am planning on flushing the radiator. I bought a flush kit and it wants me to cut the a hose and I am not sure that I should, what would your advice be? my blazer is black exterior and gray interior with black tinted windows. Its a nice vehicle but has been neglected. I can upload a picture of it in a few hours.

your truck
why did it need battery cables? I can see a battery going bad , poss an alt goin bad .. as far as flushing goes for these trucks, it can get a little tricky. yuo may just not have enuff antifreeze in the system, and it has air in it, iF you try a search on the board here theres alot of people who have done this and have posted it.. You need to get the right front of the truck up in the air a little bit to get the air out of the system ..you dont necessarily need the fitting in the heater hose to flush out the system..If you lived closer i`d help ya out with it..but your nowheres near NY LOL

Both the positive and negative power cables were cut leading to the battery. I tested the alternator and it was bad and the battery had a bad cell. So I had to get new cables from the dealership because the ones from Kragen and Autozone were not cutting it. I wanted to flush the radiator because it hasn't been done for at least 30,000 miles.

was that truck broken into thats why the cables were cut? Maybe it has an alarm also and someone tried to steal it?? almost sounds like the xtreme i was looking at on ebay...

yeah, someone broke in and stole my entire sound system. It has Lo-Jack but I believe it was more an act of vandalism than theft. There are so many things that need to fixed on this truck. Im up to the challenge. ill post pics as soon as i charge my cell phone.
