no spark

no spark
Have a 96 s-10 4.3L blazer. The engine won't turn over. There is no spark to coil.
Replaced:
Coil
Ignition module
crank sensor
distributor cap
HELP!
Would a fuel pump cause no spark? Thinking of replacing ECM...

pump wouldnt no,only thing that interacts with the pump is the oil sender unit,if oil pressures lost it kills the pump saving the engine from starving for oil.

Do you have a tach? If so does needle bounce while you crank?
Where are you getting your spares? If used, then hook up dist to ign module before removing old, put spark plug end of coil out wire, and spin dist while cranking.
Spark? bad CPS {dist}
No spark? may be CKS is out of adjustment.
Search for test crankshaft position sensor.

x2 i agree with pettyfog thinking the camshaft position sensor is bad. when you replaced the crank sensor did you do a computer relearn?

That's a design flaw btw.. You should even NEED cks to get spark in crank..uh-oh... oops!!! Brings up a point... See if injectors are firing, if they arent firing either, look at CKS signal. Somewhere in DIY tells how to test. We recently had another guy whose timing cover was malformed and CKS wasnt close enough.
Update II You DO have 12v one side of coil, right?
Update III too bad it's a 96, I could give you the VCM connector pinouts for 99 and you could test it there. Dont have much faith in the pinouts not changing after 97

true....scanners will be your best friends sometimes and i think this is one of them. know anyone with one that will let you borrow it?

Cool! Same connectors/pin/wire color designations as mine.. may be blue plastic.
Mind that view is looking at the pin side, not wired side
Conn 'C' on mine is clear {natural} Pin 9 {white} is ign trigger to ICM

If there's a problem with a sensor or its circuits the SES light will come on. The PCM uses crankshaft position sensor data for ignition and injector pulse. PCM sends a ground pulse to ignition module which in turn sends ground pulse to ignition coil to fire it. Camshaft position sensor will not cause a no spark situation, (you can unplug it and the engine will still run). Fuel pump relay activates the fuel pump, not oil pressure sender, (GM hasn't used that technology since the 80's). Pink wire at the coil and the module must show battery voltage with the key in the start and run positions. The white with black trace wire must pulse ground while cranking at the ignition module and the ignition coil.
