So I just drove it down and use an end of a 3100 and there is no communication link so it’s not just my scanner and jumping five and six did not do anything.. So when I start investigating for the missing link it’s running fine right now but it wasn’t yesterday

Which pins in your trucks ODB connector have connectors in them?

Here are words that I don't say very often - I'm stumped. The connected pins that you have in our ODB socket do not correlate to either the '94 straight ODB 1, the '95 ODB 1.5 or the '96 ODB 2 wiring diagrams. The fact that the jumper from pins 5 to 6 doesn't work suggest that either you have a wiring problem, your system is faulty, or you have straight up ODB II and a scanner that doesn't handle that transition year well, or something else entirely that is outside of my knowledge here.

I'm sorry that I could not help you.

George I thank you very much for the help that you did offer and I think I’m just going to have to sell this and get my son a different rig because I’m tired of playing with it

I hate it that we could not help you on this. '95 is a tough year for code reading, its well documented here and elsewhere but there should be a solution. We have a really sharp member/administrator here that I have a lot of respect for who has knowledge on this - swartlkk. Why don't you PM him and see if he has any insight, he may have knowledge beyond mine.

I think I’m just going to offer it up as is and try to trade it for a car, it does run good and the check engine light is not on anymore but it runs ****ty occasionally and then the check engine light comes on and I just don’t have the time to put into it especially when it’s my most hated enemy electrical issues....

I can’t afford all this time off of my paying clients cars fixing my sons car

Best of luck. It's a shame that '95 is such a PITA.
