Outside Air Temp Sensor
I read in one thread that it was behind the grill, either I missed it or didn't know what I might have been looking for. Any help on a more specific location?
Thanks |
I have posted pictures in numerous other threads... If I have time later, I'll see if I can dig one up. In the meantime, combining search terms together with a '+' between them will get better search results.

You might try searching by it's technical name It's a ambient temperature sensor.

Ambient Air Temp Sensor
Don't know if your year is the same but on my 2000 Blazer the sensor is in front of the A/C condenser near the upper passenger side corner, just behind the grill. Almost impossible to see until the grill is removed. Easy to do; grab the grill and pull forward. The sensor is black rectangular device about 1/2"X1/4" as I recall. Electrical plug on short pigtail. Easy to replace.
Hope this helps. |
Thanks I'll try that in the morning. Running on gen power now bad storms this evening. But yes the description does help. Thanks all.

A search for "ambient+temp+sensor+resistance" with an author of "swartlkk" returns THIS POST. The information posted there can be used to test your sensor.
Removing 'resistance' from the search term returns more threads and this one should be particularly helpful: Temp not working on Compass/Temp Display |
