Outside Air Temp Sensor

I read in one thread that it was behind the grill, either I missed it or didn't know what I might have been looking for. Any help on a more specific location?
Thanks

I have posted pictures in numerous other threads... If I have time later, I'll see if I can dig one up. In the meantime, combining search terms together with a '+' between them will get better search results.

You might try searching by it's technical name It's a ambient temperature sensor.

Ambient Air Temp Sensor

Don't know if your year is the same but on my 2000 Blazer the sensor is in front of the A/C condenser near the upper passenger side corner, just behind the grill. Almost impossible to see until the grill is removed. Easy to do; grab the grill and pull forward. The sensor is black rectangular device about 1/2"X1/4" as I recall. Electrical plug on short pigtail. Easy to replace.
Hope this helps.

A search for "ambient+temp+sensor+resistance" with an author of "swartlkk" returns THIS POST. The information posted there can be used to test your sensor.

Removing 'resistance' from the search term returns more threads and this one should be particularly helpful:

This thread is over 2 months old I would assume he found the problem.

trying to make a how-to:P think it needs to be a bit more detailed and it can be stickied:icon_hyper:

Step 1.) Remove Grille by pulling forward
Step 2.) Left up on temp sensor
Step 3.) Unplug temp sensor by lifting tab and pulling out connector
Step 4.) Install in reverse order

something like that with detailed pictures might be stickied, your pics don't work for me.

thanks to this I realize my temp sensor is improperly installed, as it's mounted horizontally:icon_doh:
