P0300 persists
I've been using Dash Command to monitor the effects of the various upgrades/changes that I've made over time. I had misfire codes p0304 and po300 so I replaced the cap and rotor with AC Delco parts and while I did see the p0304 disappear, the p0300 persists. There seems to be a handful of misfie (10 or less) at various times on several cylinders. Is there a tolerance for misfires or will the code trip even if there's a single misfire detected? If I wasn't seeing them on the readout I wouldn't even notice them it runs so smooth.

CEL/code is set when the misfire threshold is exceeded, usually around 2% of the 200 revolution counter. Misfires are not counted outside of certain operating conditions such as deceleration.

CEL was off today. Yet code is still stored. Weird.

chasing this P0300 myself... have you checked where your cam sensor retard is?
|
Actually no. Where should it be?

If your light is off you fixed it. The code will stay in memory for a while.
