Does anyone have a snap shot of a 1999 ( or equivalent setup) with the one piece plastic removed from under the steering wheel? This lower section runs from the Trani hump across to the Emergency brake. Trying to look for how the Support brackets are layed out. In the middle of making a Manual Shift-into-4WD cable but have limited time with the car as my daughter is away at school.
Looking to make the 'T' handle on teh cable come out somewhere where the upper and lower pastic meet so I can remove the Lower if I have towithout unbolting this cable and Bracket.
After talking about this manual shift, I have to say I had a good weekend. Replaced her Bad Actuator with a FREE good one... Painted the Battery tray while it was out of the car. The house smelled a biot as I cooked the paint dry in the oven. Hey it's cold out, it would have taken a full day to dry.
Also took the siezed rear wiper motor out , dissassembled, cleaned, greased and reassembled now that is working. I think the wheel bearing grease is a bit too thick, shoulda used something a bit thinner. Hopefully it will work in a bit. So I'm feeling pretty good about my Sunday.
Thanks to the answers to all my dumb questions the last few weeks, I was able to attack these things with knowledge and it all came together this Sunday.

Rather than wait to hear back from someone hoping that they have a picture this obscure or that some kind soul would do what you could have done 3 days ago, you may just want to pull the panel off yourself and have a look first hand. It really is only a few screws, taking minutes.

The car isn't home. I try to anticipate and ready myself for things in advance so when I do get a few hours with the car I am prepared.

With themany manyProjectsI do to my cars, I usually photo the steps mostly so I can do it again and to help others on others, I thought this would have been a no brainer.
