Default po306 code

The night before driving the 1996 Blazer it ran fine. The next morning I went out to start it and it ran extremely rough. Then came the service eingine soon light. It was flashing on and off and hooked my scan tool on it and showed a po306.

The engine itself has 6100 miles on it. I installed a rebuilt engine in it last year so the plugs wires, cap and rotor are all new. The blazer has 192000 miles on it.

I am stumped as what to look for when it comes to this type of stuff. I have been considering replacing the spider assembly with a new updated poppet less injector system. Is this worth the money or a waste of my time and money.

Any help at all is appreciated....Thanks

P0306 - Cylinder #6 Misfire Detected

I would start by checking the wire for cylinder #6, making sure that it is still pushed all the way onto the terminal on the cap. If that checks out ok, then you may want to pull the plug and see how it looks.
