Exclamation Urgent Power steering question

Hello Everyone. First time poster, long time lurker.

I recently had a bit of powersteering issue with my 2001 Gmc Jimmy. I went to start my truck about a month ago, and heard a loud grown from the power steering. after further inspection i noticed some oil under my truck. i filled the power steering back up (it was almost dry), and the noise stopped. Now i have been noticing large puddles for a couple months, and all i have been doing is filling the power steering back up, due to not having time to properly fix the issue.

i went under the truck the other day, wiped everything down and cranked the wheel to the dead stop to find the leak. I most defiantly have a leaking hose. The hose that is leaking goes from the steering box to the power steering pump. i am having a hard time figuring out which part to order.

This hose is the one that the parts store says i need. The bends in this hose dont look right at all. But this is the only "pressure' hose they say is available for my truck

The hose in green, in this picture, suits what i am seeing under the truck a lot better. it looks pretty much identical and is leaking from the Crimp closest to the pump! it only leaks really bad when i crank the wheel to the maximum of both sides.

i just need clarification on these hoses. are they the same? because they sure don't look the same to me lol. The green hose in the second picture is the one i need. what do i ask for??

any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Pictures are usually "typical" and are not necessarily exact. Tell the parts guy you need a power steering pressure hose.

i know. That is why i made this thread. As i stated in my first post, The hose in picture #1, is the hose that the parts people bring me when i say " i need a power steering pressure hose for a 2001 Gmc Jimmy 4x4' ( the hose in reality is the same as the on in the picture). The hose in picture #2 is the one that i see under my truck. To me, they look different. The metal section of the lines that go to the steering box look different. Am i wrong?

What i am saying is, hose 1 and hose 2 are different. hose 1 is the one at the parts store, hose 2 is the one i need. i know for a fact that hose 1 is the one at the parts store, and i know for a fact that hose 2 is the one under my truck, i checked multiple times today.

has anyone else run into a problem with finding the right power steering pressure hose?

the green hose seems to have more rubber line then bent metal line compare to the line in the first pic. on mine, there is a crimp from metal to rubber right near the gear box, then it goes right up to the power steering pump, then crimps to another metal line that goes to the pump. MINE does not have that long section of straight metal pipe. whereas the one form the parts store did, and so does the one in the first picture.. keep in mind, the one from the first pic, and the one from the parts store are identical. im looking for the part # for the GREEN line in picture #2
