pressurized gas?

Hey guys, I just got my 96 Blazer, its a 2wd but It seems when im driving the gas gauge goes a bit up and when i break it goes down, and I never get a solid reading...

the gas tank was just replaced before I got it too, so what should I check for?

Thanks,

Mitchell

RE: pressurized gas?

How much movement are we talking about here? Could be that you just have a sensitive fuel level sender... It is possible that the replacement tank did not include baffles...

Whats the baffles...I swear ive replaced every part on vehicles EXCEPT the gas tank. weird.

I mean, it moves about a quarter tank when braking and accelerating

My 95 4X4Blazer does the same thing. It starts toflucuateat a little less than a half tank. The needle will travel maybe as much as a 1/4 tank. More so the less gas there is in the tank. This is with noraml, easy, stop Ngodriving. When I changedthe fuel pump the FIRST TIME :(I also had to change the sending unit. (I got an after market unit on line.) The previous unit wasn't to accurate and didn't hit the full mark. There seems to bea general consensus suggesting not letting the fuel level drop below a 1/4 tank. Tim
