PRNDL and Check Engine

I have a problem with my 1999 Chevy Blazer 4WD. I recently started up my car and was greeted with a service engine soon light. I drove around a bit looking and listening for problems and I checked the fluids and fuses and I found absolutely nothing wrong. Another strange problem that has accompanied this is the indicator light for the gear selection lights intermittently doesnt work. All the PRNDL lights are working but the light that indicates which one of these gears I am in fails intermittently.

Any ideas?

You will need to have the SES code(s) read at AutoZone, etc. and let us know what they are.

autozone does that? i did not know that. Ill stop tere after work tomorrow
