Default 95 blazer, wipers and electrical issures

hi all, I am having problems with my blazer, 95, 4x4 blazer LT.
my windshield wipers seem to work but when I shut them off they keep going and shut off when they want to , and they usually stop in the middle of the windshield, is this something simple to fix? also the power seats dont work at all, and neither does the button to adjust the side mirrors.....any help is good...

The wiper motor problem is a common issue. The wiper motor will have some bad solder joints that need to be resoldered. Then again there was a recall on the 97 and earlier models. Do a search for wiper motor repair. There should be a how-to somewhere on this site. I wrote one up for blazerowners.com.

As far as the mirrors, the switch connections probably broke. not much you're going to do about it short of replacing it. Maybe at a local pic a part lot. Probably same with the seats.

I restored the tutorial I wrote back in 2006:

hi, thank you for all this info, we are trying to fix it by the instructions, I am at the point where I am about to remove the board, is the electrical soldered on or does it just pull off, where should I pry the board out from, is there any chance of damaging anything ??...I have never done anything like this before

Pry just to the right and/or left of the left most circle in the picture showing the circuit board in the link I posted above.

I'd like to add one more thing. Inspect along the left side of the board as pictured in that how-to. Sometimes the bad solder joints will cause a small circuit to burn out. Mine had two bad solder joints AND it burned out a circuit on that left side. You can still fix that by using a small piece of wire (phone cable wire will work) to repair that circuit. It's not a common issue as the solder joints, but enough of a problem to check since you have the board out already.

I have had the wierdest thing happen reguarding the wipers.........we were going to take out the board, but it got dark so we decided to leave it until morning and we put the screws back in....then I tried the wipers to make sure they were still ok, and.....they are working perfect now, I have no idea what happened lolol but they work great now, I seen some dirt on the board and I picked it off, thats the only thing we did to it, lolol
Thank you for all this info, I couldnt have done this without it, I will use them until they stop again, and I least now I know where to look and what to do thank you again!!!!!!!

I bet they'll be back to their erratic ways the next bump you hit.
