problems after washing truck

problems after washing truck
ok today in installed my spectre intake
and cleaned up the engine with some armor all
then i washed it real good, and went to drive around the block
well ive never driven my truck around directly after washing it
about midway, my abs light comes on, my ebrake light comes on, and my speedometer stops working, with all the other guages working
im thinking something got wet and needs to dry out
didnt spray the armor all near any connections
i also disconnected the battery for 5 minutes and the problem still existed
thanks for the help
if it does not go away tomorrow im going to auto zone to get the codes read

VSS == Vehicle Speed Sensor
It is located in the tail housing of the transmission given that your Sonoma is a 2wd. But the bath may have somehow messed up something around the PCM.
BTW, search now supports 3 characters so you can search for acronyms like VSS, EGR, etc.

ok thanks alot man
ill check tomorrow and if the problem still persists
ill get codes read and a vss, since auto zone has them for 25 bucks
and if that dont fix it ill look around the pcm
the computer itself is sealed isnt it?

didnt drive around because i wanted to ask 1 more question
ive read that if you drive and your odometer doesnt move, that it might also be the vss?
so if i go for a drive, and the abs and ebrake light comes on, the speedo dont work, and the odometer dont work i have all the symptoms of a faulty vss besides not shifting out of 1st gear in automatic transmissions

ok so i just got back from driving around,
and it still wasnt working until i turned a sharp curve
and my gauges and odometer worked and the ebrake light was off
abs light was still on so i went home and unhooked the battery
and viola, everything is normal again
so i think something just got wet and needed to air out
