Problems with my 98 S10 Blazer

Alright so i bought my blazer a little over a year ago. Not quite like my former s10 pickup. But I bought it and the ABS light was on. Never gave me a problem I had it checked they said it was a malfunctioning dash light. Now when i drive i get this whining from under the hood and my brakes stop working for the most part. They seem to be grinding when i push down at that time. Either way they don't work right when that happens. I'm not aware of any manufacturer defect that could have not been listed i looked it up online and 95's had that problem apparently. If anyone knows what it could be or has experienced this issue. Please get back to me..

I would be interested in knowing what diagnostics "they" used to determine that the ABS MIL (malfunction indicator lamp) was, well, malfunctioning... It is far from typical for the lamp to illuminate when there is no malfunction. You likely have stored ABS codes that would point you in the proper direction for curing your ABS problems.

If the ABS pump is activating typically at slow speeds, you may have an improperly adjusted or dirty wheel speed sensor:
